These IELTS speaking test cue card topics have all been asked recently in IELTS speaking test around the world. Check them out – and use them to practice with your IELTS speaking partner.

Try to speak for up to 2 minutes on each topic and work with your IELTS speaking partner to develop good vocabulary to help you describe and talk about each of the topics in depth.

Try recording yourself and listening to how you sound – is there anything you want to improve about your IELTS speaking performance. Do you need to revise some IELTS grammar or IELTS vocabulary?

Focus on developing your fluency as much as possible – and becoming confident at speaking for an extended period of time. This will help you avoid being nervous when you go for the real IELTS speaking test.

If you’ve never visited or seen an interesting building in real life – do some research before you go for your IELTS speaking test – and learn about an interesting building in your country. Google it and learn some key facts about it, some things you can say about it, and some good descriptive vocabulary you can use, and then try and organize this information into a monologue of 2 minutes.
You can do the same for almost any topic you actually have no personal experience of – just prepare before the test.
