Ever curious about what's inside of something or how it works? Me too... in this video I open up Shrek's talking Donkey to show how it works & how I fixed this broken toy. It does say funny lines but unfortunately it is not the lovable Donkey voice done by Eddy Murphy in the movies. There are many potential projects to make with broken stuff but this time I wanted to have some fun experimenting first... hmmm... vaguely reminiscent of the Toy Story Movies (see link below where I fixed a talking Woody doll from Toy Story). Check out the funny ways I altered the sound coming from the Donkey.
Nobody likes a broken Donkey especially Mike Myers... I mean Shrek. So I am going to fix Shrek's talking Donkey and show you how you too can figure out what has gone wrong with a similar toy and fix it yourself. This particular plush toy was supposed to say some funny lines when the sides were squeezed but unfortunately it quit working. Much like the Toy Story pull string Woody doll that I fixed in a previous video (https://youtu.be/gvKSppDdt34) I will show you how to open the toy, figure out what the problem is and then fix it. Best part, it is pretty easy to do and almost no cost; depending upon what the problem is it might actually be free to fix!
If you wanted to take a toy like this and salvage parts you would find a switch, batteries, speaker, audio PCB and more.
