Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 feature slime and Slimer. In today's video you can learn how to make your very own neon green slime, glow in the dark slime, creamy slime and more. You will see how to make your slime step by step including suggestions for how to alter the recipe so that you can adjust the thickness of your slime just the way you like it. I feature 4 main batches of slime; glow in the dark blob (very much like flubber & it bounces too), medium thickness ooze, runny slime and creamy slime.
To make these types of slime you will need some basic ingredients that are easy to get:
- Elmers Glue (For each batch I used 5 ounces of glue. Clear glue for batches 1 - 3, white glue for batch 4)
- Neon food coloring (I bought mine at the grocery store - came with 4 colors but I only used green)
- Super Glow Powder (strontium aluminate) for a glowing batch (when using white glue you can substitute liquid glow paint for the glow powder - use a couple of Tbs of the paint)
- Borax laundry detergent (powdered borax sold as detergent booster at grocery stores, etc.)
- Warm water
1 batch of Borax solution (1 cup of warm water & 1 Tbs of Borax) makes enough for all of the batches made in the video.
In each batch of slime the ratio of water to glue is either 1:1 or 2:1 (meaning the glue is either equal to or only half the amount of the water used).
The glow version that I made ended up being capable to releasing more light than any of the DIY Reusable Glow Sticks that I have made in previous videos (it was amazingly bright once fully charged):

Warning: responsible supervision should be used when working with Borax (strong concentrations of Borax solution can be a skin irritant and should be treated accordingly). Make sure not to confuse Borax with boric acid or another similarly named ingredient (these are totally different).
