How To Make A Fun DART Launcher - Its Quick And Powerful

How to make a Dart Gun! Quick & easy using products in your home (only takes 5 minutes to make). DANGER: this really shoots and can really cause damage (I have shot these into a full can). Any part you do not have at home can be found at almost any grocery store, pharmacy or hardware store. You may not become a modern day Robin Hood but you will be off to a great start for target practice. Why not substitute this set-up in a round of darts?

In the video I promised tips on creation and adjustments and here they are:
1. The skewers are bamboo and can be bought in packages at the store (made for BBQ kabobs) at a low price
2. Notching the end of the skewer: a. fold a piece of sandpaper and use the folded edge to sand out a notch. b. use the nail file on fingernail clippers or a knife. c. Borrow a used/old fingernail file (i.e. emery board).
3. Elastic band selection: wider is better as well as thicker (more durable and better tension).
4. Elastic band adjustment: as you use your new dart launcher you can loosen the cap to pull the band tighter or looser to adjust the tension on a full pull before launching your dart (i.e. more tension = more power).
5. Bottle selection: thicker more rigid plastic is easier to work with (try different types to see what you like best)
6. Tape: I used Gorilla tape because it holds well even when the dart buries itself in a target but other tape works well too (ex. Duct tape / Duck tape, masking tape, etc.).
7. Bamboo skewers: the thinner ones fly with more speed due to reduced weight but larger ones can be pulled back further and are more durable... your choice.
