The goal is to know what the source of the problem is so that you can fix it or replace a part yourself instead of a replacing a whole computer. Money saving DIY! In this video I diagnose a computer that ultimately turned out to be a motherboard failure (I was able to buy a refurbished motherboard and fix it myself for much less than the cost of a new computer). See how I started with 4 easy tests that anyone can try without opening up a computer or buying any tools. From there I did open the computer and worked through several more tests to check for problems with the power supply, graphics card, RAM, hard drives and so much more.
Cool time and frustration saving user tips included as well! If you are new to working on computers stick with the easy steps and possibly check out some on-line forums for advice that is specific to your computer & problem. Over the years I have learned allot from my friends Justin and Matt regarding how to build and repair computers. In this video I share that knowledge with you to help you down the path of DIY tech support. Always know your limits, observe safety precautions (like grounding yourself before working on electronics) and take your time.
